Half-Day Excursion on Wednesday September 28th<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Let yourself be a part of a journey through art<\/strong>, history<\/strong> and nature<\/strong>. Start with a visit to the Basilica of San Francesco<\/strong>, in the heart of Assisi, one of the most important places of Christian pilgrimage <\/strong>in Italy and of high artistic relevance, holding frescoes from among the most important italian late medieval painters<\/strong>, such as Cimabue<\/strong> and Giotto<\/strong>. A professional guide<\/strong> will explain your way towards the delicate twine between art, history and religion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Then, the tour will move to the Bosco of San Francesco<\/strong>: a wood below the Basilica where you will be able to witness first-hand the beauty and the peace of the original Umbrian countryside<\/strong>, while always at the center of the city of Assisi. You will be guided in a peaceful 45 minutes walk<\/strong> fully immersed in nature.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Cost<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n 25 <\/strong>\u20ac<\/strong>\/person <\/strong>(to be paid cash only<\/u><\/strong> at the conference venue at the registration desk) <\/em>including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Program & Schedule<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Meeting point:<\/em><\/strong> outside the conference venue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The participants will be divided in two groups<\/strong> in order to guarantee access to the Basilica. A shuttle service<\/strong> will wait for each group to reach the Basilica and from there a guided tour of the basilica will start <\/strong>(duration: 1 hour approx.<\/em>). After the visit, the tour will proceed with a 45-minutes <\/strong>(approx.) long walk <\/strong>in the Bosco of San Francesco<\/strong>. The walking path is very smooth, but we advise to bring comfortable shoes<\/u><\/strong> for the walk.
